I haven't heard anything on the news recently about all this, but this is great for us minions...
I'm with Natwest and recent transactions to and from different institutions have taken no time at all being transferred between them.
I transferred some money to my new Halifax account and it appeared instantly (i thought it was weird as I knew they weren't part of the same company), I was amazed. Then I've just paid off my credit card with another provider, money shows up and has cleared the same day (well overnight).
Transferring from my other online bank account has took only 2 days instead of the normal 3 or 4.
I must say this faster payment malarky is bloody brilliant! Has anyone else noticed it, or do I just have too much time on my hands? I do remember there being some kurfuffle about the banks taking too long to transfer money between themselves but haven't heard anything since with regards to implementation of the new system.
Is this happening on your accounts, or have you noticed anything different?
