7 days(-ish, I was pretty out of it), at which point I was sedated(was in hospital at the time) with some evil drug that I've forgotten the name of. Apparently going longer than 7days can do some rather bad things to you, never been tempted to find out honestly.

I have Chronic Insomnia, I sleep roughly every 3-4days at the moment. I've grown pretty used to it to now(after 10 years of it), you couldn't tell I was tired til I hit the 4th day usually, at which point my muscles start to ache badly and I can feel myself "dumbing down" for lack of a better description.

I thought after too long (i always thought 3 days... must be longer) you started having hallucinations? I'm sure it was scientifically proved, can't remember the timescale though.

For me, I think it's about 62 hours... 11am weds to 1am today

Yeah, that's after 3 days on average apparently, although I would have thought something like that would depend on the person.

just over 100 hours (about 4.5days) in my heyday of clubs and parties...however, recently I recorded 6 hours sleep over 9 days trying to complete coursework to a handing in standard....thank whoever was watching that I got good grades for them!

I much prefer my bed these days...I no longer wish to spend the night in some random's bed, couch or any other piece of furniture and waking up to codswallop, or having to walk for 4 hours before civilisation. I'm getting old and I enjoy my bed

Wow. I'm exactly the same

I'm managing 2/3 days at the moment (having to force myself) due to a few RL things. I am on medication now to help with sleep, which in all honesty has helped, but I adapt to it quickly meaning I only use it when I must. Although the side effects can get annoying (make you feel like a zombie after a bit - you get very detached from the world, feels like you're watching yourself in 3rd person)

The longest I have gone is around 6 days. I was hospitalised at the time (partly due to the sleeping)...horrible experience. I was utterly delusional, unable to string even some of the most basic sentences together, unable to walk properly, couldn't do practically anything. I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone.

been up since about half 8 yesterday morning so thats me almost done 24 hours I've got work at 12 noon too, 8 hour shift.

umm, mainly through the various use of drugs and so on i have done about 3.5 days, but never ever felt the wish to die, nor thought i was going to.... and it was all a long time ago and i don't recommend it.

What i do recommend is that the OP does see a professional, because it does sound rather serious. It's not really normal behaviour to feel your thoughts are coming from elsewhere, nevermind telling you that you are gonna die, cannabis user or not.

Have a word with someone in the know mate, please.

Thanks, Im not a cannabis user anymore, haven't been for years now since Ive had this problem. I stopped smoking the stuff as soon as it seemed my brain had split in two, some time back in late 2004.

Ive seen lots of people about it, been put on various different anti-phycotic medication but none of them worked, its still the same if not worse now than it has been. It is now quiet so I can ignore it better but the thoughts are worse than ever and as each week goes by, they seem to get faster and harder to control. All of the words / sentences in my head (although I dont have control over them) come from the enviroment. It seems as though it is that that is in control of me, and not me at all. External sources, such as washing machine, birds singing, people's movements! seriously, control what is said in my head. The tone of sounds I hear seems to have a major influence on the words said in my head.

Its an absolute nightmare and I dont know how to sort it out if there is anyway at all that is.

When I have drunk four pints or so it is better however, and I then have 'some' degree of control over what it says but it is still nowhere near right.

A bit annoying really, but if I've put up with it for 4 years already, I can put up with it for another 4, at least.

Ive stopped taking anti-phycotic medication as it didn't work and now Im only on two medications that help me sleep (lorazipam + zopiclone) I take some lorazipam in the day if I dont have much alcohol as it makes it (slightly) more bearable.

Was very surpised with the posts in this thread with some people having stayed up for more than two days as I remember it becoming unpleasant after a day but I just couldnt switch off, there was no way to, I couldnt even keep my eyes closed for more than half a second and Im not exagerating I was just so awake. by the way I didnt mean to write I drink in a the day ti me, the earlist I have a can is 5PM and that is only at the weekend, in the week I take a lorazipam instead.
