Like you said Music is a tough nut to crack. There are lots of careers in it besides playing I guess but you would probably have to be bloomin good to get anywhere.
Were you thinking of playing or producing? Or criticising.. thats fun
This reminds me of one of my first threads in Hexus. People calling me a loser and wasting time. As I thought about it, most things in life are a waste of time. Especially when you look at your free time.
Although, as I look at the people who are saying these things about me, they are usually mothers who a combination of changing nappies and too much TV are bitter old hags anyway
life is surprisngly a strange thing. You get some people who believe they have some perpose, Some who believe you should settle down and have kids as soon as possible and those who think that people who live differently are benneath them.
But it's all down to your perspective.
I have found that everyday crap is nothing. But sometimes if all you have are those things niggling at you, over time they can really bring you down. You need a break from these things.
Try and figure out what these things are and remove them. If the problems are assholes putting you down then take a good look at them and shove it back in their faces. I think it's better to hate than to feel miserable.
I think in times like these it's the best time to be selfish.
Me personnally, I find it easyier not to care about how I look (Just as well really, if you ever see me you'll know) or how others people see me.
Also, I'm pretty dumb. That helps if you can get hold of any stupid pills.
Oh yeah, Get a decent Nvidia card to go with that PSU. And DIABLO 3 is coming. See, you have everything to live for.

As i said... it's all about chopping up the overall problem and attacking it in chunks.
it's difficult to get the motivation beyond the fear of the unknown, but you find that things get a lot easier once you start making those steps.
I was in exactly the same position 3 years ago and changing things bit by bit has helped immensely!
JK, you know you can talk to me whenever you need to hun.
Set yourself the challenge of creating a division of musical policemen.
A little more seriously, it's been said many times 'life is a roller coaster', most people will take the downs in there stride as they know roller coasters will start going up. Unfortunately depression can remove the belief the up is come soon (or at all). If you are sensing a fall remember: the dip might be small, there will be a rise and most importantly you need to hit the brakes. If you suffer from depression you need to take some action and the sooner the better.
Try and keep perspective, if you are on the way down the mind will exaggerate the worst parts of live and cloud over or hide completely the best - sorry I can't give you advise on how to do this, if your mind is 'thinking' about the worst parts of live try and do something to occupy your mind.
Ok, so if you want to be a policeman, but you need more "life experience"
GO OUT AND GET SOME! The more you sit on here whinging, the longer it will take.

Some turn to drink or drugs to feel better, the best thing is getting good exercise and eating better can make you feel so much better. Hit the gym.
