    Re: Ebuyer.com Silences Dissent

I can understand the frustration, especially when an item is needed in a hurry. But it's just one of those things that happens when you order things online, and Ebuyer did act within their T&C and even provided something as gesture of good faith. It would be nice if all e-tailers can get a perfect stock monitoring system though.

    Dear Halston,

It is with great anger and disappointment that I utilise my digits to type this communiqué. On Thursday the 14th of august I clicked on a thread on the Hexus message board created by you, in good faith. Having received on the same day a confirmation of my log in to the Hexus forums, I naturally assumed that, as in the past when dealing with Hexus, everything was fine.
However this has not proven to be the case, because on Thursday, 14th Aug 2008 I viewed a message from you stating that, “FFFFFSSSCHHHT FFFSSSCCCHHHHHTT PPPCCCKHRRRRRR FFFSSSCHHHHHTT” thereby supposedly and immediately making your systemic failure eBuyer's problem, why is this?! It most certainly is not their problem.

To add insult to injury when you rang them to find out just what had happened you were accurately informed that the manager was not there to answer your questions but would most assuredly contact you by phone the next day to resolve this issue. So when you called again thirty seconds later, you were accurately informed that the printers were out of stock and your money would be refunded, which is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Understand this you placed an order, you agreed to the Terms and Conditions of the eBuyer site, your money was refunded; and this by anyone standards is reasonable, a thought as far as I am concerned that is valid, you are in breach of it and are for some reason insisting that there is nothing you can do about it, apart from realise that "that's life", eBuyer can't automagically create an out-of-stock item from thin air, nothing. This shoddy way of treating customer service staff certainly echos your supposed “philosophy” of “GIMME WHAT I WANT OR I'LL STAMP MY FEET AND FLAIL MY ARMS AND SCREAM AND SCREAM UNTIL I'M SICK”

I expect you to receive further criticisms of your outlandish, flawed and evidently unrealistic expectations, and I further expect that your reports of 'problems' are not again actually real problems.

    Mike Fishcake

yes, you should laugh. The op is a fool and deserves to be mocked unmercifully.

I would have the experience listed as a good experience really, if they refund you quickly there's no problem.
Some people just like to complain for the sake of complaining.
