    Samsung e700 mobile

Im seriously considering getting one of these to replace my SEt100

Does anyone know what the best deals are at the moment. Im leaning towards getting it pay as you go £180-200ish. If not then a contract- though it would have to be a good deal.

Anyone know any good offers- have any good/bad expericences with this handset?

Good handset if you want something simple. Excellent screen and camera. No bluetooth/triband/email client though, so not good for me so I shipped mine. You can use infra-red to transfer tones/pics etc to/from PC which makes it better than some phones on the market (GX10i for example is/was crippled by Vodafone to try to make you use expensive mms). No data cable yet but usb irda is only about £20 from ebuyer.

www.fwdcellular.com has it for £180 payg, which is a killer price. Alternatively the Sammy X600 is as good a phone in a normal package as opposed to clamshell and has a flash on the camera and only slightly smaller screen and is quite a bit cheaper. It's really small to hold and thinner than the E700 which may be important. I personally prefer it to the E700 as I don't like clamshell phones to call with and had it got bluetooth I'd have had one over the T630.

I'd thought of these but I needed bluetooth and I wanted a nokia, which I waited for, might as well not have bothered, it was a bad idea to wait for the 6600 cos its total CRAP, wanna get rid of it now because the battery is supposed to last 12 days, it lasts one, the guys at Orange have the same problem and nokia want me to lose my fone for two weeks so they can fix it even though its under warranty..bastages....

    ok rant over lol

some good offers can be found....http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk

It is and it isn't, I actually looked at non bluetooth phones this week and was going to sell my 6600 on ebay, yeah its ok to begin with and sure you transfer files easily, but I have my mailbox on my fone if I want to do that, the thing that annoys me about the bluetooth (i have a nokia 6600 and a M300 from Plantronics) is the pain in the ass to get up and running each time, I have to turn the headset on, turn the bluetooth on on the phone then connect using the assigned devices and I STILL have to put the thing behind my ear lol (the headset on the fone ) I dunno, to me a cable plugged in the bottom seems so much easier still lol (and they are still too big and yes you do look like a dork wearing a headset)

6600 is the best phone i've bought. Best I've used too...

My Dads got the E700 and he has no grumbles except the battery is a bit crap on standby time..

6600 is in a class of its own, that phone is more like a PDA, very nice size, its smaller than it looks.

I don;t deny itys a good fone, but nokia don;t wanna help me with me and the local carphone warehouse, my OFFICIAL service center have not been trained on this phone so cannot touch it, bloody typical.

Easy to unlock the e700, just enter a standard code with the phone on/no sim in. Google IYF. T610 will require a datacable/proper unlocking.

If battery life is of concern go with the T610.

Friend has an e700 and is on a 2day recharge cycle atm :/
