Javascript is a greedy component of a web-page and won't let other bits loads concurrently.
And that's one of the reasons I don't have it appear on absolutely every story in the sidebar.
Digg has an API and I can use it to reproduce the Digg buttons locally, but I have not had the time to do so yet. I can't give a time-frame either.

I don't know much about this Digg thing, though I've seen the buttons often enough around the Net. If it'll help Hexus, I'll look into it further and might participate.
Sorry, I keep forgetting how much a pita JS can be - using it only when I have no other option. I'm not sure it would have helped anyway. The browser tab occassionally froze whilst trying to scroll/navigate and a Digg being processed. I ought to check that API as I'm sure I'll need to use it in Flash at some point.

i have recently submitted TAKTAK's murdering of an Eee (i dugg the main hexus.net and not the forum post).. give it a few minutes and the 'digg this' box should appear under it. so all you new diggers can start digging that thing..
it should attract new people to this place because its unique, exciting and probably not been done before..
if you have the sidebar turned on you click where it says 'digg it'.. login to digg.. then click 'digg it' from the digg page. the total of diggs should increase by 1.. thats it..
or if you are looking at it from the hexus.net article page. use the share dropdown box, click digg, login, then digg it again..
or just read steves link in the previous post for easier to understand instructions.
