    Weird question

How the heck do you get grease off things ?

Eg. my p900's mobile screen is covered in it from everyone wanting to "poke" it, and not use the stylus. Rubbing it with a cloth just seems to move it around. Ive got some screen protectors i want to put on, but not before Ive gave it a good clean.

So, any ideas or recommendations ?

    Thanks

Isoprophyll alcohol and a lint free cloth - just like a CPU/heatsink.
    PHP Code:

i'd go with 100% alcohol, use a cotton bud and wipe it round the screen - should sort it out. failing that drink the alcohol and let it all slip by harmlessly...

All I ever use is a clean duster cloth (them yellow/orange things) dipped in water as hot as I can stand, wrung out, then clean all the crap off with that. Then dry with a clean cloth, preferably lint-free but I usually use a clean, soft, tea-towel. I once managed to put a mark on a monitor screen using Amberclens foaming cleanser, which is fine on glass, but not on some monitor screens, it would appear.

Ever since that, all I've ever used is very hot water/cloth. It does the job just fine.

naaa Kez has it right - katun do a thing called "Safeclens" it's basically just isopropy-whatever alcohol and it does the business - remember to apply, wipe, and then buff with a clean dry cloth for maximum effect

orange juice, like you get in mr muscle kitchen spray, it's fantastic for getting grrease off. Not sure what it is, but i think it's the citric acid that breaks the grease down.

Use a spray in a can I found somewhere. Spray on a rag, wipe off laptop screen.

Mattz, is the 6600 any good? I've been offered one for the princely sum of £100 (if T-Mobile ever introduce it grrrrrr) and I have a 128mb MMcard lying around but I dunno... Could easily sell it for £250ish on ebay I suppose... Could you MSN me or email me for a lil chat about it please? Ta
