    Valuation of tower

First off, not sure if this is the right section. Apologies in advance.

Anyways, how much would you say i could get for this:

    # Intel 2.4ghz QUAD core processor
    # Zalman CNPS9700 processor cooler
    # Asus P5k-e motherboard
    # 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS2, DDR2 PC2 memory
    # XFX 7600GT XXX edition graphics card with Arctic Silencer
    # Corsair HX 520w Modular power supply
    # 500gb Samsung F1 SATA hard drive
    # 250gb Western Digital SATA hard drive
    # Samsung Lightscribe DVD-RW
    # Antec P182 gaming case
    # Windows Vista Ultimate w/ SP1

All in all, roughly £850 it cost me. Everything is roughly 2/3 months old except my 250gb HDD, and graphics card.

I know i havent had it long, but im gonna get a laptop and do my room out, i need the space.

How much should i advertise it for on websites and the paper etc, possibly even ebay?

    Thanks.

    Re: Valuation of tower

This is a very rough guess but I would say somewhere between £400 and £500.

You might get more money if you split.

    Re: Valuation of tower

I was thinking that myself, about the price that is.

And splitting it, yes, most likely, but its the hassle. Especially trying to sell stuff like a computer case on its own i think would be hard. Processor, motherboard and graphics card would be easy, especially on ebay.

    Re: Valuation of tower

    £270-£350 absolute max.

tescos will sell you pretty much the same spec, with a 22" monitor, for £400.

    Re: Valuation of tower

Case wouldn't be too much of a problem, you could sell it on eBay as pickup only?

    # Intel 2.4ghz QUAD core processor
    # Zalman CNPS9700 processor cooler

Sell with the processor and you might get £100

    # Asus P5k-e motherboard

    £50

    # 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS2, DDR2 PC2 memory

Sadly RAM is dirt cheap these days, £40 tops.

    # XFX 7600GT XXX edition graphics card with Arctic Silencer

Under £30 since it's an old card, though you might get a tad more because of the aftermarket cooler

    # Corsair HX 520w Modular power supply

    Selling for £60-70 on eBay

    # 500gb Samsung F1 SATA hard drive

£30, you can get new 500 gigs for 40 on Scan

    # 250gb Western Digital SATA hard drive

    £15-20

    # Samsung Lightscribe DVD-RW

    £15-20

    # Antec P182 gaming case

Nice case, £50-60 just specify pick up only

    # Windows Vista Ultimate w/ SP1

You're not getting anything extra for Vista i think.

I would say £400 to be fair. The case adds a bit of value since you're not getting an Antec with the tescos rig.

    Re: Valuation of tower

The 2nd 250GB HD will add little value, if any, it might be worth keeping it and getting a external HD case to use with your laptop.
