i dont understand, this is a world-wide sport, why would you not root for your country?

    Oh right.

    Erm... good.

I'm sure the German racing for the Italian team really appreciated your support.

Mind you, I've nothing against Massa, he's never been arrogant or annoying when I've seen him interviewed.

idimmu - There are always a few who dream up some ludicrous reason. I doubt anyone in Brazil wants Hamilton to win, but you always get a few from England who can't stand to see a fellow countryman do well, for some reason.

F1 isn't world cup football or the olympics. It's rare to have a driver driving for a team of the same nationality. So who do you support, the team or driver? Also, I'm loyal. I don't just switch allegiance because of nationality. Patriotism is overrated

    Re: F1 Championship

I support the team, McLaren. Its special to have Hamilton racing for McLaren, but if, say, Massa came to McLaren, and Hamilton to Ferrari, as soon as Massa's bum hit the seat of the McLaren I'd be wanting him to win.

You have, however, no reason to be loyal to Ferrari or Massa. If we were talking Senna or someone, a true genius, one of the all time greats, I might be able to understand you wanting the Brit in the Brit cars team to lose.

Nice! The look on the Ferrari garage when they realised they'd lost was priceless.

That was the closest finish i've seen. Glock just let him pass. I'll be interested to see if the FIA have anything to say.
