Well, its the American Elections...
Do we really think that there will be a black US President by the end of the week?

Is America still as racist as it was a few decades back, will there be a surge in voting due to it being a black vs white election, IMHO there will be more blacks voting, purely because Obama is black as well as more so called "Christian" (Read deep south rednecks) whites.

Polls put Obama 6/7 points infront but will America as a corporate power be prepaired to have a black president or will there be some sort (and I hate to use the word) of conspiracy..

If Obama gets in how long will it be before there's attempts on his life, and if so what kind of race war could it spark.


Sorry if this thread comes accross as racist, thats not my intent but I have no faith either in the good ol' U S of A or the human race...

I think a lot of people just want the right man for the job and are sick of people playing the race card day in day out.

I dont think its a case of "playing the race card" chap, I honestly dont think that America will elect (either by itself or by conspiracy) a black president even if he's the right man for the job and the other guys a complete bastard.
The whole thing is a sham imho, its all about money, TV ratings, popularity and less about policy and whats right for the US people as a whole.

To be honest Trig despite the proportion of racists that will aways exist in society I think America has turned that corner and there is a fair proportion of voters (easily enough to swing the vote) that just want the guy with the right policies and the right attitude.

I'm hoping Obama will win, but no I don't think America has outgrown it's racist past: just look at the more ridiculous accusations thrown at Obama by some of the more stupid republican supporters. Instead of a fear of "african americans", people from the middle east are the new scapegoat.
