    Trip to Paris

It's PussyKat's 21st at the end of this month and her parents might give her (and me! ) a trip to Paris for her present for the weekend. Anyone here have any knowledge of Paris, nice places to visit (apart from the Eyeful Tower), reasonable prices and what we could do for the few days we're there (if we definately go)?

arc de trion, eiffel tower, the big glass triangle things. Go down le arc de trion road and go buy a rally car from the shop. It's the best road you'll ever go down. Use the underground system it's handy for getting around. DON'T get a car, it's paris. DON'T think that when the walking man is green you can cross because cars do NOT stop for red lights over there. Otherwise i like the city center, nice place in my opinion.

No, don't need any help in that dept!

I'm talking about travelling during the day and stuff. She's suggested Disneyland for the day, sounds like fun! £20 per person about right I read?

sorry but me and my mate were pissing ourselves when we read this, and agreed i had to correct you for the sake of our sanity - it's l'arc de triomphe, and the "big glass triangles" are le louvre (where the mona lisa lives)

there are a number of nice places to visit, museums and the like. worth considering are a boat tour down the seine (quite cheap), and the traditional sights e.g. arc de triomphe, louvre, eiffel tower, notre dame, etc.

get a little guidebook. have a read, it'll at least tell you where to find things!

use the metro, don't get confused down there tho O_o

anything else? hmmm... eat out! try local small restaurants! you can always sample high-quality french mcdonalds at the airport on your way back.

when myself & my girlfriend went for a weekend in paris we were staying in the montparnasse area, and used the tube to get about. on that note, remember it's liable to rain in france...

disneyland tickets are £27 for one day for adults, £72 for 3-day. buy tickets from disney in advance, you don't wanna pay for timeshare ticketage from a tout & get refused entry

I had a look around but couldn't find a site to buy tickets from Disney anywhere! All I could find was some site made in 2000 stating the daily tickets were £20. Not where to get them from though!

Go to the Sacré Coeur in Monmartre (top of the hill)! Good choice of restaurants and night life!

hard rock cafe, TFI friday (thought that was a tv program but also a bar) happy hour includes free drinks, hard rock cafe includes women in very short skirts.

euro disney is good, i loved it when i was in paris. 3 days, more for the kids but some excellent stuff to see, perfect imho! We stayed in the mexican resort and it felt so much like mexico when that heat wave came in (not that i've ever been to mexico)

I loved paris so much when i went, such a great place to go.

This is very true, be really really careful... the french drivers are some of the most ignorant, dangerous drivers ive met
