OK the link is dead, but is this the clip of the stunt plane that sheds a wing and does the CGI landing............ ?
that is a great piece of footage.
never seen it before and didn't realise it was CGI at all.
Naa, it's much more impressive when you know it's real! Like these:

Thankfully not been on an aircraft when they've had to do that
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SMp3rYt4Kgg
one wing f15 landing
and it seems that its not fake
(more of a documentary of it, but still )
It's the one at ~2mins that gets me (I've seen it elsewhere) as that's a 747 commercial flight...and its most obvious what's going on from the camera angle
That F15 damage is......they really don't make them how they used to!
Repost!!
Check it!
EDIT:
The F15 1 wing landings - sure I seen another when it landed on the aircraft carrier... still impressive none the less.

In regards to cross wind landing, the C5 Galaxy's main wheels can actually turn so that the plane can land sideways without needing to "kick out" of the side-slip. The F15 generates something like 60% of it's total lift just by the way the fuselage is designed. Likewise, the undercarriage doors on a Tornado generates lift when open as the aircarft lands and takes-off.
