mobile phone speaker issue

Hello,
I have had my sony ericsson k500i for erm like 4 years.
suddenly on thursday i couldnt hear the person on other end of phone. when i got home i found out the person on other end could hear me.
I done a quick google search and seems this has happerned to other people using sony ericsson phones.
im guessing a hardware issue.

The thing is i dont really want to change my number or network and I like my current phone.
The network im on atm is virgin mobile.
so basically im wondering if anyone knows a way to fix that issue or what cheap sony ericsson or nokia fone i should go for.
had a quick look but wasnt sure.
maybe someone has a cheap old nokia or sony ericsson phone unlocked or on the virgin mobile network?

I did look on fleebay but there is so many dodgy deals on their its hard to find any good deals anymore.

What do you mean by cheap?

What you could do is get another Virgin PAYG phone and just put your existing SIM in it, that way you are keeping the same number. Or any other PAYG phone and get it unlocked if it isn't already.

ye i was intending on getting another phone on virgin mobile or maybe an unlocked phone.

cheap erm well max like £50. I dont really wanna spend much at all.

dont have much money atm and only use phone for calls and texts.
