    Laminate or Carpet?

I was just wondering, what do people have in their bedroom and what do they prefer :\. Just out of curiosity.

I have laminate atm and its pretty cold, im thinking of getting carpet though.

    Re: Laminate or Carpet?

Wen't from carpet to laminate. Certainly colder and there's the added noise. Postives are it's less dusty and easier to clean.

Looks wise I'd take laminate as well.

    Re: Laminate or Carpet?

UK is carpet, it is a lot nicer to walk on with bare feet.

Hong Kong is laminate, it is a lot nicer to walk on with bare feet.

    Re: Laminate or Carpet?

In the bedroom, definitely carpet. Wood in the dining and living room and tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen.

Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean

    Re: Laminate or Carpet?

Laminate is better, cleaning n dust wise - But I don't like it too much now, we have it in the house but i would prefer something more solid and better looking - slats or proper floorboards (but it's more expensive) Something spills on Laminate and you miss it, it ends up going funny. Maybe that's changed now.

    haha yeah thats right

warm and soft carpet in the uk,

    cold floor in hk,

i find myself cleaning the floor in hk a lot more than vacuuming the carpet cos i hate the stickyness, but i guess carpet is actually more dirty but it hides dirtyness better

    Re: Laminate or Carpet?

For the bedroom, real wood floor (or at least engineered, laminate is for peasants) but with underfloor heating. Nothing worse than stepping out of bed onto a cold floor.

    Re: Laminate or Carpet?

I have laminate in my room, and it's alright. My room is pretty small but has a big radiator (originally 2 rooms, now have a wall built down middle, I got radiator , so it heats up quickly and the floor is never cold. My only problem with it is that if I spill something without realising it (like a tiny little droplet of coke), and my chair rolls over it, it leaves this big black sticky mark on the floor and is really hard to get off. Also, dust and stuff is alot more noticeable, but then also easier to clean .

You can't have a cold floor in the bedroom, that's stupidly stupid! Carpets ftw!
