Was thinking the exact same thing. He must of had some inheritance, postmen are just not that well paid. Unless of course he still lives with his mum and does'nt pay any rent!

I saw this on the news last night. They then interviewed this bloke and I started laughing, he looks like such a chump. Then they showed the picture of the woman he'd been in contact with and I almost wet myself, she was very fit. He'd been completely suckered. Didn't realise that he'd lost so much. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to buy PCs let alone connect them to teh intenetz.

The bit that gets me is he gets scammed, then falls for exactly the same scam again. I mean really, how dumb do you have to be?

To be fair, if you fell for the first one, the second is quite easy. The story was plausible - certainly to someone who'd been conned - "i got scammed by the same guy, what a £££%*(Q&£% he was". This builds up until they develop a plan to get their own back, money exchanges hands - job done. If you'd lost the kind of money this guy has - you'd do quite a bit to get it back i imagine.

Are you all sure that guy ain't a Nigerian postman and that the real scam is telling everyone he sent money to a ravishing beauty, putting up with the initial mickey taking, until the good ol' British public stump up to replace his 'lost' £130k?

Re: people are still falling for this?

If anyone asks me for money, friends or relatives, etc, or to even click a link in an email, I get suspicious.

What a complete and utter idiot.
