Some good news to brighten the mood...

In an interesting twist of fate, it has now (well, as of 4.5 months ago) transpired that I'm going to be some poor sod's dad (for those who have met me, I'm looking at you Tiggs, Animus and Shelly etc. you'll know what I mean ).

We only found out a few days after our big, fat, drunken Halloween Party and now the lil' cheese head and Miss. Beanfro are doing VERY well indeed.

At first I was a little bit scared, anxious, nervous, now though, I just can't wait to see the new boss and the ultrasound scans are just brilliant, its so great to see the little fella so healthy and bloody active in there, just makes me nervous, thinking about the tonnes of responsibilty ahead of us, its simply THE most unique feeling I've ever felt in my entire life.

Baby is due on around July 17th and is shaping up to be a real fighter already having survived a few scares in the 'danger months' but its still here, alive and kicking (very faintly now, so Miss. Beanfro says).

And yes, we're hoping for a boy, but I have no idea .

Re: Some good news to brighten the mood...

    Congratulations

I'm also going to be a father in June, and we've just found out that it's going to be a little Girl at the 20 week scan.

I do have a image of the scan, but I'll not inflict that on the rest of hexus lol

[EDIT] I reckon we need a new hexus.parents forum as it seems we're all breeding the next generation of hexus readers and geeks

Re: Some good news to brighten the mood...

    [ Agrees with Lee ]

I have no doubts about parenthood, as much hard as it will be I'm sure there will be a lot funtimes.

I have had some practice, as I partly brought up my nephew for about two years, so I've had my unfair share of changing nappies and watching Cbeebies...for god's sake, LOL

I have been a tad quiet on here for a few weeks, recently, for various reasons, mainly to do with moving out of my sister's house into my own flat for two months and then moving out of there and in with the missus, so I've been all over London, in the space of four months, lol.

It is nice to get such a nice response from you lot, especially the ones I haven't really even discussed things with much on here...naturally, I'll let y'all know if its a boy or a girl.

    EDIT:

Oh, and marriage isn't on the cards yet

Congratulations. From what I've seen of my brother, he's coped quite well and just seemed to find himself getting on with it.

Hehe Balamory - my 19 month old niece saw that for the first time and it's now a word that has to be spelt out like cake and other no nos.
