Smeghead!

Saw this on another forum the other week, is great news indeed, we've been 11 years without Red Dwarf.
That said I must pick up the DVD's, I've forgotten pretty much most of it
Red Dwarf is great! I love it.

That's been worrying me too, but they've got one of the origional writers back so might be be pretty good. Although not being the same writer as series 8 they may completly ignore the ending of S8 and not explian it.
Another plot change like when Kochanski became his x in the later series but had hardly said a word to her in the early series.
Who could forget this -

I can't wait for the return, leaving us hanging like that at the end of series 8!!
I have watched Red Dwarf since it was first aired all those years ago and still love it now. Even my wife got into it when I was buying the series on DVD. I managed to pickup the Bodysnatcher collection from Borders a while ago now which has the not as good remasters. Had to complete my collection on DVD regardless. I really hope they eventually get round to releasing them on BluRay.
I think that one of the big problems for the last couple of series was that the budget got bigger. They spent too much time showing off with the graphics etc. and less time on the scenes themselves
