Middle names

I was just wondering how 'middle names' work in legal documents. I know that for banks, the middle name typically becomes an initial.

How about in a passport? Do passport typically contain your name in full including all middle names?

And when an application form asks for 'forenames', does it include first name and all middle names?

Finally, for people with middle names, how do they appear on your driving licence (if at all)?

As far as I know it's not a legal requirement to put your middle name, it's merely optional.

None of my children have them. Personally I never saw the point.

I usually shorten mine to R E L as they are a pain to write out.

I've got 2, so I'll usually use the first one and either drop the second, or use it as an initial.

On my driving licence, they've used the first 2 names, and then the last one is an initial (TBH, I prolly ran out of space on the form!)
Passport - I'm not sure, as I've not seen it in a while!

My passport has all 5 of my names on it, and I thought on legal documents such as passports you had to put all "Given" names.

My driving licence shows all my names in full

My passport shows my first two names in full and my third name (second middle name) is just the initial.

My bank accounts are as above.

List them all, if they fit they'll be used, if they don't they'll be abbreviated.

my girlfriends dads first names are eugene aloysius and my dads middle name is macdougall

Both my given and middle names appear on my driving license, but I think that was because they just used whatever I put on the form...
