nice much better, but simpsons is booooring now and the jokes arent funny.
It's alright but not much differnt really. I only get to watch old episodes on channel 4 anyway
With animations like The Simpson's I can never tell the difference between HD and non-HD.
New intro isn't that great either, The Simpsons has really lost its crown over the last five years.
It quickly becomes a test of the upscaling.
On Sky1 for instance it looks awful when watching the simpsons upscaled with their upscaling algo.
The cheapo one in my tv does a MUCH better job for the simpsons.
All to often people get stuck up about upscaling techniques, but things like the simpsons can actually fault the more complex ones!
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
What the deuce.
another vote for family guy here
havent watched an episode of the simpsons for nearly 4 years now
but nice HD intro
Yea well.. erm..
Come on, like there is any episode of the simpsons you haven't memorised thanks to endless repeats on BBC2 and C4. My childhood can be characterised as one long succession of dull days at school followed by waiting for the simpsons at 6pm.
In truth, Family Guy is far sharper these days. Alas, the Bart character is starting to show his age, while the gags are too.. I don't know the word, but it's not 'funny'.
The new intro is nifty, though it's polishing up the covers of a ratty old book.
Family Guy, The Simpsons and American Dad are all the same show anyway.
I love Family Guy, but it goes off on far too many tangents for me (South Park's episode about Family Guy absolutely nailed it), plus there are too many references to obscure American celebrities that I don't understand.
The Simpsons is a classic sitcom - some episodes 'aren't as good as they used to be' but I still find it more enjoyable than virtually any other sitcom on TV.
I'll watch American Dad if it's on, but you could interchange the characters with Family Guy and no one would notice.
