I like it, kept the important stuff but added some new bits to keep it fresh. Though I find the new TV at the end a bit weird.
I don't really see how it is 'new' almost all Simpsons episodes have variations on the intro, some much longer than others. This one is no exception, others have had elongated bits after the sofa section as well.
It is good though but in a more of the same way.
if they're promoting HDTV, why does the TV only use RGB inputs when it snaps off the wall?
where's the 6 colours.. or even better, HDMI..

I like it, apart from the bit where the sofa runs away, uneccesary and too long

Too long, and not very funny. Although occassionally the couch gags were generally sometimes funny, but these HD one's weren't.

I think they are just showing this as a promo, there have been extended intros. I think further ones won't have that bit in.
They'll probably change that for each episode, like they do with the original ones.
Have to agree with what most have said. The bit up to the couch was good. However, I still think this one is probably one of the best!
The actual intro has been updated here though. The Simpsons TV is now widescreen, Homer actually gets run over etc
I liked it but the sofa section gag at the end was dull and took too long.
Lucky there's a Family Guy.
