I would back Stringent up on this one, I work in a school and we have teachers that ask the same question and they get the same answer as Stringent gave 'no because that is illegal'.
It is nothing to do with being boring or wanting to be a 'party pooper', it is because as an educational establishment we have a license for showing films we own, if we were caught downloading films and showing them not only would that licence be taken away but the person who downloaded it and allowed it to be downloaded would loose their jobs as would the person who has the licence in their name.
And then it would lead to other such wonderful things as Microsoft checking our agreement and that all our licences for the machines are correct.
It is far too much to risk and teachers are very naive attitude towards these sorts of things, for example thinking we can give out copies of xp to them because 'who would know'.
Sometimes being sharp is the only way to get through to them.
