You're forgetting my disdain for politicians.

My election broadcast would probably be the shortest in history. The script would be something like

"Vote for me because ..... I'm not them. Or don't. Whatever. I'm off to the pub. Bye"

Future predictions are hard to make - might as well say that the treatments in development that are looking so encouraging will be ready by the time some of us would otherwise be suffering.

Possible. But the Cholinesterase inhibitors that are available at present do not suit all types of dementia.
Lets hope they come up with something sooner rather than later.
