At the Download festival we had some campers who set up in the same spot for the 3 years i worked that one. They set their tents up near to our security hub lol Their tents were safe at the end of the festival. In return we did get breakfast and tea lol Those that set their tents up on near the main walk paths int he campsite sites had their tents wrecked by direct etc etc lol

As for the circle setting up that caused us headaches lol As the organisers wanted all available tent space sued for tents. The amount of time I had to be called with a response team to sort some confrontation out was daft lol (This was Download most other festivals it was more huff huff ........ok lol)

But anyway back to tents. I would vote for a tent that has a space you just about stand in!!! And to keep the other half happy get the inflatable double bed lol

    Re: Tent recommendations?

If your looking at going away for a week at a time I would look at a 4 man tent, its nice to have someplace to keep clothes etc other than in the main compartment. If you looking at long weekends then head more towards a single sleeeping compartment with small living area. I am a big fan of Khyam tents due to how easy they are to put up, and they are pretty strong, down side is that they are expensive but you can pickup some bargains on ebay. This time of year you will start to see tent shows appearing, worth looking for one so you can see what tents like when erected, if you have a large decathlon store nearby they often have a good range of cheap tents, nd many are pitched so you can wander around. Kit wise things that we have found make life easier ar

    Self inflating matresses, like http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?...ategory_id=253

Folding chairs, try before buying ones my wife likes I hate, and vice versa

    Folding table

Stove wise we use one of these4 http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-...COREACABZHG161

Just noticed that go-outdoors have some tent deals, Vango are a well respected make.
