Sounds to me like their failing to advertise these great no kids showings!

Yes, great idea to have over-18 screenings, there's nothing worse than having to put up with other people's goddamned kids in fact to my mind that's the main reason stone-age man stopped living communally in caves. Over-18 plane cabins would be nice too

This is one the reason I often went to those late week-end shows at Vue in Aberdeen. It's so peaceful especially if you watch movies that have already been released for 2 weeks or so (you do increase the chances of running into 'big kids' when the movie is brand new and the room is full).
I've always found that most teenagers are fine in the cinema, but it's the little 12 year olds who are just allowed to go to the cinema by themselves that cause all the trouble. Since it's the first time their mummy and daddy isn't there to hold their hand, they will just act like a bunch of tits. I'm 16 and they annoy the hell out of me, it's not just old people who hate em .
Agreed - a couple of weeks ago watching Star Trek had a group of kids sitting direct in front of us... in each others' arms and smooching all over each other for pretty much the entire film and for some reason texting each other which they seemed to find hilarious.
I blame the parents...
having just turned 18 i might go to one of these shows and ruin it for the lotof ya XD
just for the LOLs

well when i looked it was not in the over 18 one it was on the normal one, as i did state in my post so do not slam my reading skills without reading my post first .
As for the website, that does have a over 18 section but other ways to find times like newspaper teletext etc do not.
actually i did not personally check, but the time we checked was in the normal section, also on teletext and newspaper it was not stated as over 18.
And on the board outside the cinema it is so tiny i didnt even notice it.
As for over 18 screenings i understand the idea, but why 6pm? silly time to do it. Also why do it and have no normal screening till 2 hours afterwards?
I love how everyone doubts other peoples parenting but yet probably has no idea what their child gets up to when not at home.... does make me chuckle.
Children have always been naughty its been around forever simple as.
Btw just checked the vue website and theyve done it again, next sunday 6pm is a non 18 screening, so why would this sunday have been any different? stupid layout.
I never slammed your reading abilities, but you just admitted you didn't check yourself, so my point remains valid.
I would have finished work and may need to gett home, some of us have responsibilities/commitments outside of work
My children are still firmly in my testicles, so no chance of them being naughty
Children have always been naughty, a perfect reason to exclude them from showings which generate more business from over 18's
and a quadruple post? FFS use the edit button or learn to multiquote
Yup, totally.
But if there's one thing worse than obnoxious, loud-mouthed kids, it's what some of them turn into when they grow up ... which is often obnoxious, loud-mouthed big people! And the very worst, God help us, turn into people like me.
The Saracen Technique for Civilised Child Rearing (*) ... when they reach the age where they start talking, which is also usually the age they stop being "Aaaah Cute", stuff them in to a barrel and feed them through the bung hole. When they reach 18 ..... drive in the bung.
(*) All my kids, having benefited from my extensive child-rearing skills, have been raised proper-like, don't need this treatment. Everyone else's do.
