If you like mtb and dh i suggest going to Whistler in Canada. Been there a couple of times and have found it amazing each and every time. It's a mountain bikers paradise.

Also if you got enough money (getting there can be expensive espically taking bikes on planes) i suggest helibiking. One of my most exhilerating times of my life.

Basically you get a bike up to the top of a mountain (higher than the cable cars will take you) where there are pretty much no tracks to get down. (depends where you go)

You can then find your own way down or you can hire a guide to take you down.

I've got 14 (working) days holiday to take before 1st September and no money to get a proper holiday with. I guess I'll be taking a few weeks of at home soon.

Re: Holidays. When is yours and where you going?

I had a great time in Cyprus this time last year staying on the Army base - it was like a week long stag do! Nice and hot too.

Sadly nothing this year; I'm furiously saving up for my wedding in January, but then it's diving in the Maldives for two weeks for the honeymoon! Really can't wait.

Re: Holidays. When is yours and where you going?

Just got back from being in NZ for two months The joys of working for yourself meant I could keep up with some work whilst still enjoying some pub/holiday time

My return trip was an absolute killer though, nearly 40 hours from Christchurch to Heathrow. I hate plane delays

Lived there because my dad was in the army, but was only young so dont really remember to much..apart from the red arrows flying over a hell of alot.

But yes, I do remember loving my time there.
