Day 1: Dining in Singapore, After a Day of Hardcore Shopping...

Just got back from dinner today and about to process the pics I've taken.

@beanbandit: I wanted just the controller but that was S$ 75.- and the fancy red one with the play & charge kit was only S$ 13.- more...went 'meh' and got it. I still think it makes more sense to run them on rechargeable AA's (NiMH, circa 3000 mAh+) but I have yet to find a decent large capacity battery charger.

As for the DVD+R DL and Cat5 comments, it is impossible to get the former in Colombo and the latter that I found here has moulded strain-relief around the RJ45 jacks; I hate it when the regular crimped ones get snagged after a while, or the little clippy bit snaps off.

@Whiternoise: RAM/HD needs the case to be opened up of course. Sure, for those with a spare battery this is a definite no no, but at the same time it is nice to have a sealed bottom (mind the pun) - it just feels so solidly built and is very nice to have the battery charge button on the side of the laptop.
