Red Letter Days - What to do?

Well I won a voucher for between £100 and £300 for Red Letter day vouchers (not sure how much yet) from a competition I took part in at work

Anyone done one of these before? I am thinking about doing a rally experience course/skid pan training or maybe the stunt driving one but not sure what is good to do

    Anyone got any suggestions?

I've done skid pan training and rally experience (on seperate occasions) - I found skid pan fun, but limited in the sense that's all there is to it - nothing exciting, no thrills cars, but the skills learnt could save your bacon under specific circumstances. The rally experience is much more fun imo, as there's usually a group of people that do it (better in a social context), and it's just fun to pelt a rally car round a circuit. Even if it is just you and the instructor, you get taken on a flying lap, and that alone is worth it!

Let me know when you're hooked. I'll put together a 'hexus package' for an all-inclusive PPL course.

    Or http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/Ref/ULTKO

Re: Red Letter Days - What to do?

I had a single seater experience at silverstone a while back, not with red letter days but with virgin, and it was awesome, one of the most fun days I have ever had, those single seaters may only have a relitively tiny engine, but they are fast.
One thing, it didn't use the GP track, which I was a bit upset about, but used a track that is located by stowe corner, a tight little thing, it has pretty sharp corners, but is fun all the same.

Edit: this is the one: http://www.silverstone.co.uk/php/de_...eater_exp.html

I'd either go for something like super car driving or rallying.

They're meant to be great fun and you can also see how old you are.

My old man came back from a supercar day and decieded that he didn't like speed anymore.

I can recommend thruxton for a track day if that is an option... Really enjoyed my experience in a Ferrari F430 can get up to crazy speed without to many corners to slow down for

I've done the stunt car course. That was awesome. J-turns, handbrake parking etc....
