after raiding my copper jar last night, ive found one of the undated (both sides) 20p mint mule.
the genuine undated coins seem to fetch about £250 on ebay if sold by someone with good feedback. ive got 170 on ebay 100% poss feedback.
so what do people reckon? should i sell it now or wait, like will it increase in value? there are about 200k in circ, so £250 seems a good price..

i don't think it'll increase in value much over the next year or so.. but say if you kept it for about 15 years or something i think it'd probably fetch a lot more than £250.
i'd sell it now if i was you.
Keep it until just before Christmas then auction it. Spend half the money on pressies and give the other half to a children's charity. For 20p, you will feel like a millionaire.
I'll buy it from you for 21p making you a nice profit.

yes, the mint will even buy them back, I have checked over £100 of coins and not found any so far

When the story was first published the mint were saying they would pay £50 IF you were to sell it back to them. They also said that in roughly 20 years it would be worth £200, so either try and sell it now and possibly get £150 or wait and try and sell it in a few years, you might get more.
It didn't fall off, it merely became insufficient at it's purpose and got a bit droopy...
I thought the RM stopped paying out.

I gave one of these to the pdsa, at the time rm were offering £50 for them, and I didn't really feel like making money for nothing, figured that a charity could use the money more than me.

Personally i'd keep it, probably be worth a lot more in a few decades. Pop it in a plastic case and leave it for your kids

im still in two minds, but i think ill stick it on ebay 99p no reserve and see what happens.
this year ive been so lucky money wise (very unlucky in other ways though), got a lump sum from a relative dying, my dad gave me some towards new kitchen appliances, the electricity meter man gave me £50 credit for letting him take a pee, got a council tax exemption letter (because the flat is not habitable yet), the water meter was over paid and was in credit from the previous occupier who remains nameless.. won some on the lottery ( not much but still welcome), won £50 for going the extra mile for a mate at work.
on the downside, apart from the relative that died, i was assaulted and broke a few bones, and my girlfriend has ended it! But ill be getting a few Ks in criminal injuries compensation because of it. now the 20p ...
