Maybe final update.

On Monday I offered the buyer a final chance for a refund if he returns the RAM in the pre paid envelople I'd sent him.

Today I said that's it, no refund as I hadn't heard from him

Ebay also confirmed I didn't even have to offer him a refund

Since you're a private seller and you didn't enter a returns policy on
your listing, it's up to you whether to take the item back and give the
buyer a refund.

They also can't stop him leaving whatever feedback he wants..so hey ho

It sounds to me like they tried one on with you, when they could not trick you into sending more memory or returning the money before you got the item back, they have given up and moved on to other things. Hardly seems worth it for the cost of the item. Sorry, you feed back is going to be affected, I presume they have already given you bad feedback.

Not negative feedbackyet, I think they were genuine

Well I'm really surprised...no negative feedback left and it's been a few weeks....fingers crossed!

Oh and ebay were really helpful!!!!
