Most ammusing small print in adverts!

So I was watching TV this morning on the phone to a friend, she was watching the same program, and there was an advert for an Oral-B toothbursh, with the concept of getting that dentist clean fealing at home, a lady in the ad, tried to take the dentists polishing thing all the way home, only to find she could have bought a rechargable toothbrush.

what cracked me up was the small print which was something along the lines of "does not provide profesional results". I mean how can they put that in, its against the whole concept of the ad!

Its up there with the old iPhone add for the 3gs which was showing how it was quicker. It then had the scenes removed and steps shortened disclaimer.

American pharmaceutical adverts are hilarious, because they have to include all the possible side effects in the voiceover, often taking up more than half the ad's duration. My favourite one was an antidepressant which could cause suicidal thoughts.

Stupid make-up ads - in particular mascara ads. "Filmed with lash inserts" or "enhanced in post-production".

I saw a good one in phones4u shop the other day. It was a poster for a really small phone and the tag line was

'small enough to fit in all your pockets*'

then the * at the bottom in small print read 'will not fit in really small pockets''

I do like the very vague 'When used as part of a calorie controlled diet' disclaimer. That is true of chocolate flavoured sugary butter cake, if you limit the calories you are taking on.

There was also a very nice American pharmaceutical ad for one of the viagra clones that 'may cause impotence or death'. Impotence is no problem if you are taking Viagra already, because that's why you take it, but the death thing seemed like a red flag to me.
