Your poll should be multi-select !
I'd love to, but am way too old and have too much going on for a beer and frags fest. <sigh >Any chance of recording the better bits or allowing spectators to logon remotely ?
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
We had an idea to do this for the first one - but as we're all there to have fun, people kept forgetting to do it!
The Net connection at Uttoxeter is shocking so we'd have to record anything then edit and put it up afterwards - which requires more effort than a volunteer team can do. Although maybe we'll try and record some stuff youtube stylee next time.
Phage - I doubt you're too old! Never too old to play games!
Pretty certain the connection has been upgraded. I think everyone was able to surf reasonably well for the duration. Madduck was even streaming the F1, although when I tried it would occasionally stutter. I still doubt a live-feed would be able to work though, but uploading every now and again shouldn't be too bad. The lighting was OK at our end by the cooking area, but you would struggle to see the far end (I think my photos kind of show this).
Oh, I'm playing. Mostly QWET and L4D. The problem is that as a middle-aged parent it's not exactly politic to declare that I'm off to play games in a dark basement with a bunch of people I met on the tubes.
Don't some games allow in-game recording or broadcast a la HLTV ?

yeah the internet did seem better than normal

I think the internet has been upgraded, as a few people were streaming the F1, although when Luke was watching youtube it did make the rest of the net connections grind to a halt. But still it was a MARKED improvement over what it was.
Another thing we discussed before we left was that if there were more than 6 of us, to seat opposite each other rather than in one line if possible. Otherwise the people on the ends will never see each other! Most people put their boxes on the floor, unless they're small enough to go on the desk, so it's still sociable.
Good plan
Your Pc
Monitor
Keyboard/Mouse
Headphones + extention cable if needed! (note to self)
4 Way power lead
Kettle leads for said pc + monitor
Games
Sleeping bag/stuff
clothes
shower stuff
wallet
There is catering on site, but its always advisable to bring some food/drinks in. (There is a 24 hour tesco literally 2 min drive away)
*I'll edit this as I have prob left some bits off!*
Tips, erm . . .turn up, play games, speak to some like minded people, eat, drink and have a good time?
Any questions, or anything your unsure about?
