Ok - last minute request - could anyone do a pickup from abingdon after work (5.30 -6ish) on friday to LAN?

I'm just confirming times at the moment.

    Please PM / MSN me....

Awesome... I love it when a plan comes together!

Rasta - please can you catch me on MSN - I have some seating plan changes to make (maybe once you get there...).

    Re: H3XU5.LAN - 20/21/22nd November 2009 - Uttoxeter

it's taken me less than an hour to get it useable - gotta turn it off to get my COD profile off the other HDD though.

    Tonight will be:

    COD
    C&C
    GRiD
    Unreal GOTY and 2K4

    plus patches.

I'll have to find the patch list that we compiled so I'm all ready to go when I get there on fri.

Oh and my PC is a beast now.... soooo pleased with it. That windows 7 (now it's running on x64) has really made all the difference. rawr!

    Re: H3XU5.LAN - 20/21/22nd November 2009 - Uttoxeter

    left4dead 2 up n running.

1500 zombies killed on the first campaign in 1 hour 24. chainsaw has fuel for about 30seconds use, so it seems, so no running around with it forever. katana chops heads off nicely, as does the axe, i'm 165 decapitations into the 200 achievement.

the levels seem bigger to me, unless its just a trick of the openness of the areas. talking of which, being set in the daytime doesnt detract from the gameplay one bit, as theres still plenty of indoor and dark areas to explore. theres also a nice random level thing going on, play the same level again and the 'path' through the level will have changed. doors, obstacles and other things are in different places each time you play - even if you die and restart the same level, it wil have changed.

not tried survival or scavenge modes yet.

    _________

otherwise, i'm ready for the LAN, even done a complete system backup incase something goes wrong.

Managed to play through one campaign on SP on L4D2. Melee weapons are very messy. Can't see very well from all the blood being sprayed across my view! The AI though seems worse than the first one. Can't quite pin it down; probably the fact that I'm always leading so get charged or ridden all the time, whilst my allies just focus on a lone zombie somewhere. I'm only playing the SP to get my bearings on where I'm supposed to go.

except next time you play the same level, new areas will be open, old ones locked, new routes through the level appear. the level has some randomisation in it. dont memorise the route, youll end up at a dead end.

managed to honk the clowns noses at the rock concert, 'honk-a'

also noticed that ALL the zombies tend to attack you and ignore the NPC's. maybe its valves way of punishing you for having no friends and playing with yourself.

just need to decide whether its airbed or floor. will anyone have a pump?
