Question The US economy sees growth at last.

So the US economy grew last quarter for the first time in over a year. Add to that the growth in the major European economies such as France & Germany, why not us? We are now oficially the only major world economy still in recession, so what are we, or more accurately the Government doing wrong?

But i thought Gordon Brown boasted that the UK was "best placed" to ride out the storm?

#edit funny enough they questioning Jacqui Smith on questiontime right now about it! Such a odious woman!

Re: The US economy sees growth at last.

What happened is our government lied hideously and the figures are proving it. More importantly it's begining to look like we've been specifically weakened over the past 10 years to line up Tony Blair's shot at running the whole of Europe....
