In most forums the dupe account is a well respected tradition. Provided that you're not using it to spam or otherwise break the rules, why not ?
Admins can see the IP address anyway and are unlikely to be fooled.

It's a well-known tradition but certainly not much respected by those running many forums.

Short of a second account, there's no way to ask an anonymous question. We don't much like second accounts, but aren't going to get too wound up about one unless it's abused. There certainly are a fair few people that have them and yes, we know who many of them are .... and no doubt, don't know who others are. Some are easy to find, some very much not so.

Allen, at the risk of sounding like a statement from the Ministry of the Bleepin' Obvious, the best bet is .... ask an Admin.

I'm sure we could find a spammer that wouldn't 'mind' if a banned account was temporarily "repurposed" for you. It would even have a few posts added to it and a date from a couple of years ago that would make it hard to spot. Of course, now that you've asked in public, it gives the game away just a tad.

Depends entirely on how lazy I am, how clean the wall in front of the urinial is and also whether or not I'm likely to get a good vertical score.

Yes, unfortunately I have now realised this after making the post..... Oh well, you live and you learn.

To be honest, I don't think I have too much to worry about really, and when the time comes I may as well just post the question up here...

BTW, if anyone is interested, it was work related and I will keep looking around for the answers I need and asking people directly.
