What a Saturday..

Ok so got up this morning with the plans of starting my driving lessons again and then building my step dads new PC as an early crimbo present.

So, here goes the day.

Driving Lesson [Check] new instructor and new car, car very easy to drive, instructor proper nice guy, very honest and very easy to talk to. Car is a Diesel Fiesta.

Building PC [Fail]..so here is where the problems start. Put motherboard into the case, it was sitting too high, back plate would not line up with USB ports, USB ports etc, found smaller stand offs, tried these, still a little to tall, no problem I thought, will get them a new case before christmas, so no worries using it like that for 12 or so days, so carry on with the build, get the GFX card out, Asus 4770, pretty nice card, put it in the motherboard, the back plate of the GPU is to to tall so doesn't fit against the expansion slots properly, stands about 1.5cm to high, never mind I thought, will be getting a new case aas mentioned, then I get the paste out for the CPU and its fecked, far too runny and just didnt look right. So build stopped until tomorrow when I can go get new case and paste.

Now, this next part, was really the icing on the cake!

Decided was going to play on the 360 to let of some steam at the failed build, turned 360 on, starts to load game, freezes, bugger I thought, turned it off and tried again, same thing..turned off and left for ten minutes, turned back on and..Red Ring of Death.

So yeah pretty crap day today.

Tomorrow is the day I *hopefully* finish the build, going out to grab a case and some paste..yet more money from my pay gone. Also gotta sort sending the 360 off.

Sounds like the beginning of Die Another Day... I'm not sure that would be the best approach, as your day could potentially get a whole lot worse when you were arrested for GBH

Well finally got the PC built yesterday, just installing all updates and the like now..boring!!!
