    Facebook settings concern

I decided to check my privacy settings today as i wanted to change a few things. But when i went to the privacy settings for example contact information all the drop down boxes were greyed out. Also at the top of the page it said "Your privacy settings are secured for your protection." and then on the right hand side it had the change settings button. Clicked on that and it asked for my password. Now I can never remember that being there before or the boxes being greyed out??

Is the same for others as well?

Why are you concerned? .. stops people changing your settings if you forgot to log out in a public place, uni, work, etc.

Just have never seen it before at least I didn't the last time I checked my settings. Plus a friends just had his account used to send strange fb messages to people.

Yeah I think FB has forced everyone to review their privacy settings recently and implemented some new features to help...

I've seen a few people with odd messages too.. nothing that new really though, people have been getting their accounts hijacked for yearsssss

Ah right, just never had to re-enter my password. Thing is you can go to the profile and change the settings on it directly. So the password thing severs no purpose really lol

Yeah me neither. It kinda does. I see where your coming from but I suppose the password still hopefully stops people from making your profile public to the world.

Can't start passwording everything though otherwise everyone would get fed up!
