eBay - where do I stand?

I bought a psp off eBay just before new years and it arrived today. Some things are wrong with it, however:

- I asked him if the usb cable is included and he said yes. There is no usb cable.
- the wlan switch does not work which means I cannot connect to the internet. He didn't mention this and said the psp was in excellent condition.

I paid for things that did not arrive, and got a broken psp. Where do I stand in this?

1st thing to do is to try to sort it between yourselves.

Is there anything I can actually do about it though? I don't mind about the usb cable, but the fact that a part of the psp doesn't work and he didn't mention it is just wrong. I definitely wouldn't have bought it if he had said it was faulty. Can I send it back to him and get my money back?

It's sort of working now. Kept pushing it up and it finally locked into position. Any little knock makes it fall out though. I'll see what he says first.

You may as well open a dispute in my opinion if you can - part of the dispute process is waiting for each member to comment.

I wouldn't worry about it though, if standard eBay procedure is followed he'll probably be shot and you'll get an immediate refund, you're in no danger of losing out.

I know the feeling, bought a new wifi radio from superfi & turned up with marks & streaks on the screen. Sent them an e-mail about it only to get one back saying (very politely) ''have you taken the film off the screen?''. No i said.
