OK, I've been at this for a while now and this is how she fell for it
One of the Tick Boxes offered keep her up to date with discounts from Ticketmaster.. and she ticked the box without reading the full million lines of terms and conditions.
What's most offensive is that she gave TICKETMASTER her credit card details, NOT this bunch of scammers, so Ticketmaster must pass them on.

And my views on companies adding products or services on to my bill without my explicit approval have been outlined on here before. For instance, I had a stand-up row with my insurance broker that resulted in me cancelling all my policies with them precisely because they'd done this - added legal protection and charged me for it without ever mentioning that they were doing so, let alone asking me if I wanted it, which I didn't.
Few things get up my snoot faster than someone selling something (including insurance policies) making the decision for me that I want it, unless I happen to notice it and object. It is a thoroughly disgraceful way to do business, in my opinion.
Hi,
I just found out that I have been a victim with this shoppingdiscount scam thingy.
Last November I booked a flight in ebookers after the booking it transfered me to this shopper discounts and rewards website ShopperDiscountsAndRewards.co.uk. All the information was misleading as far as I remember it only says that you can earn discounts on hundreds of online shops and I never visited the site again after that time.
I just found a letter today dated last Nov which informed me that I am paying for £10 membership fee every month, and I am pretty sure I have not given them my credit card details, so how come they got it!!! This is ridiculous!
I cancelled my membership right away, and demand a full refund of the money they've charged me. I sent them a couple of feedback about their criminal activities, I hope they get caught!
I will raise this to BBC watchdog or other authorities, this is a daylight robbery!
Luckily I found it early otherwise it can go for who knows how long without me knowing it!
This is a lesson for me now...even though I do not buy very often online, I will be very careful next time and will always check my credit card statement.
My husband doesn't know yet...wait until I give him the scam news!
Just booked some 6 Nation tickets through ticket master, and at the confirmation screen had the same advert. I did look at it but when I saw it wanted my credit card details it was a no go!!!! Have to say not impressed with ticket master

some should write some letters to the directors of the above companies.
Politely remind them they need to keep a check on what their web teams do with their established brand name in search of short term profit.

Its an automatic opt in scam, and I'm betting the companies involved get a kick back from SD&R. It looks like getting a refund is fairly trouble free Zak, but its something that simply shouldn't be happening.
It also appears that many CC companies are only far too aware of the scam, but aren't doing anything about
Well, I called them yesterday and they have cancelled my "membership" AND given me a full refund on what I have paid so far Very relieved but the fact that it was so easy to do does imply that they know they are in the wrong.
Either way... sorted
I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.
So because I bought tickets from ticket master I have now been signed up to this discount thing???
Only if you clicked the link which asked if you would be interested in future discounts...
