    glee

....when it won the Golden Globe for "best comedy or musical" my wife and I were like "WTF is this?".

But it's on channel 4 (and HD) now, and the first three episodes are still on 4OD AFAIK. Watch it, it's great. Not perfect, but still enormously enjoyable.

    Re: glee

I watched this and I can't say I was all that entertained. It's one of those programmes I wouldn't watch out of choice but I would put up with if I had to or there was nothing else on.

And any show that focuses so heavily on musical numbers needs to do a much better job at lip synching.

The kids are well into this & I have to admit it's one of the more watchable shows of this type.

    Ok...

Maybe I should have been more clear; Could anyone that has actually seen the show tell me what it is similar to?

High School Musical only slightly more teen than tween. Not badly written but you probably won't like it too much unless that's your kind of thing.

    Re: glee

TV at the moment is crap. So crap that I have actually taken to watching this. Its painfully cliched, the lip syncing is awful, and I feel like a 13 year old girl while I watch it.

    I need a hobby.

Skins got rubbish after the second season (i.e. the first lot) left. They've lost a lot of the empathy that went with the first cast and are just focussing on rebellious teens doing stupid stuff. The first two seasons were great, the soundtrack was epic, but i think it may be a bit like Doctor Who, the Doctor you watch first is the one you like best.

Personally i'm holding out for Lost
