Great pics and it looked like a great holiday! If you don't mind me asking, what sort of costs were involved (plane hire, fuel costs etc.)? If I ever get around to getting a PPL, it might be something for me to consider for the future.

Sure; the airplane was $160/hr wet rate (that means including fuel, etc). This is rather cheaper than it usually is, for various reasons; $185+ would be more normal. You only pay for the time you spend in the air, usually subject to a daily minimumnumber of hours. We averaged 2 hours a day, which is the lowest you're likely to get.

Landing and parking fees are, at most US airports, free. Camping too, if you pick the right place!
