    Ebay end of auction email

As far as I am aware after you have won an auction Ebay automatically sends an email telling you this. But for some reason the auction which was won on Friday had no following email. Is this because the seller has sent the invoice etc to me?

I doubt that, because you can send an invoice at any time after the sale as a seller. It's probably just got lost somewhere, or you've somehow become deregistered from that particular email. You can pick and choose which ones to receive in the options menu.

Sorry that should have read "Is this because the seller has not sent the invoice etc to me? "

I seem to remember getting a email stating I had won the auction etc

I'll have another look in the options, which tab should I be looking under? The Ebay help pages do not really help at all.

Well, same applies either way. Invoice is optional for the seller to send (and most don't) so it's got nothing to do with the "Won auction notification" from eBay.

The link by the way is

My eBay --> My account (on the menu the drops down)

Then on the left hand side you need to click "Notification Preferences" or "Communication Preferences". It's referred to as both for some unknown reason, depends which page you're on.

Then go down the the "Buyer" section - i.e. where it says Buyer on a blue background, and you want the bit that says "Won". You can tell it to send you an email realtime, or a daily/weekly/monthly summary instead. If that's all set up correctly, then maybe check that all the other settings are okay. If that's all still fine, I guess it's just a one-off bug or a mystery spam box somewhere.

    Hope that helps

Re: Ebay end of auction email

Thanks Checked it all and for 'won' its selected as 'real-time'. Must just be some bug then as nothing turned up in my junk mail.

    Thank again!

Re: Ebay end of auction email

I would assume it is a glitch with their email system.

I have had this happen on occasion in the past too, but everything else (payment, etc.) has been fine - it's literally just been a matter of not receiving that particular email.
