    Can you confirm when you last experienced it?

    I think when I had this happen it came up with a site that pretended to be a virus scanner.

    It looked like the security centre in XP and it had an image of a scan taking place for viruses but obviously it was just a website with a flash animation embedded trying to get people to buy what they think is an anti-virus program when it is probably a virus of somekind.

    This happened to my mum before with another forum and she actually thought the laptop had a virus, can't say I blame her though as it does look identical to the XP security centre.

    Re: Hexus access probs

    This happened to me yesterday too.

    Also, about two months ago the same Hexus forum link made my work's antivirus software go bonkers, claiming about three trojans.

    Re: Hexus access probs

    We are, like various other high profile sites in recent months, it seems, always being subjected to attacks that attempt to leverage our high visitor numbers.

    We do everything we feasibly can to defend against such things - most of it pro-actively rather than reactively, I'm pleased to say. But still, it's good that everyone here remains vigilant and reports any issues as soon as they arise - so I thank you all for that, and remind you to always keep your virus scanners or whatever other protective means you have, up to date.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Re: Hexus access probs

    I was going to start a new thread, but this one seems appropriate.

    I was getting errors with Trend Micro today on a PC at work. It was blocking go.hexus.net and the favicon.ico. I'll get more details tomorrow.

    Re: Hexus access probs

    Need more details on the favicon.

    Our outbound link redirector is also a target (that's go.hexus.net) but that's supposed to be managed; let me know if it persists.
