Orange website : A joke

Spoke to one of my contacts to orange and apparently the site is still based on the very poor backend that was there when I left over 2 years ago. They have to restart it 6 or more times a day as the servers are not communicating with each other properly.. Much of it has not been sorted as they are waiting for it to be integrated in to one big new one that will be an international platform for all of Orange. With the current one every county has developed their own systems separately.

Most of the problem with Orange’s site in the past has been to many cooks but you can't run such a big site efficiently by hacking a fix on top of a hack on top of a hack etc etc etc. Also its based on a java system with means the amount of processing power and cost of maintaining it are both ridiculous.

yeah thats something that really takes the piss, you go into an orange shop and get told they are nothing to do with orange...wtf's up with that??!!
talk about false marketing!

i had my phone replaced by orange a month ago, costs £5/month insurance and THEY replaced the phone next day with a brand new one, did get charged the admin fee, but just smash the screen, tell them its irrepairable and you've a new phone.
