Question trying to raise funds for OXFAM 60 mile charity walk thing

I'm walking 60 miles nonstop on July 17-18th, to raise funds for Oxfam and the Gurkha Trust, IF my team and I can raise the minimum GBP2,000 by that date. Can you help us?

Our main info site is http://queenandcolonists.weebly.com/

The actual donation page is here http://www.justgiving.com/queenandcolonists

Any help would be good. You'll see we have a way to go............and I also appreciate that there have been a TON of charity requests in the recent past. Hoping you're not all burnt out in that regard.

    Danke muchly for any 2c.

Would you mind telling us a bit more about the charities you're supporting and why there's a £2000 minimum?

Oxfam is a very well known NGO. You can find out more information at http://www.oxfam.org.uk

    Gurka Welfare Trust - http://www.gwt.org.uk/

This is an oxfam organised event, more info here: http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get_involved...ker/index.html

lol, thought everyone knew oxfam - my bad.

2,000 minimum: me not ask why, me just comply. Is international event - US, Canada, Australia at least, IIRC.

COULD be that GBP2,000 only attracts serious fundraisers, just like the London Marathon, otherwise the logistics of marshalling an overnight event with (eg) 30,000+ peeps (each with only a few quid) would just be insane.

One can never stop saying Thank You
