transfering vhs to dvd?

Well my mum keeps asking for her tapes to be put on dvd so they can be used again (lots of disney ones, for my niece ) and its now for a christmas present so im wondering how do i go about doing this?

Ive managed to salvage a vhs player but our dvd recorder has just died so i cant do it the way i thought i would (connect vhs --> dvd recorder), i presume ill need something like this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Grabber-desi.../dp/B000S0QIPI

Is there alternatives to this? I can spend ideally up to £30 but cheapers better, just want something that will do the job easily.

anyone able to quickly advise me if its an ok purchase? need to order today ideally...

edit, nevermind order a cheaper one from scan @ £17... should do the job me thinks .
