You have two options:

1 - She is - Take it as a compliment. The fact is that how she looks does not change a single thing about you. So unless you do want to be 'Miss Unique', who cares how she dresses.

2 - She isn't - Then it's got absolutely nothing to do with you - so there's no issue.

If it's people talking to you about it that bothers you - take an 'Okay, whatever, I don't really care' stance. If you don't care, others will soon not care either.

It's not that someone decided to look like me (god help them) but my bike:


I'd been living in Brighton for about a year and then one day I saw somebody had got exactly the same mods (twin lights, micron exhaust and belly pan), same color and same model. I've seen them a couple of time since so I can only guess that they saw my bike liked it and nicked all my ideas.
I mean my bike is something personal to me and it looked unique, it was mine and I made it more mine by these mods and the money spent. And some sod nicked it.
Makes me want to add a few more mods to make it different but I havent the money. It's just cheeky, cant they come up with there own ideas instead of nicking other peeps, the gits.

Well I'm sure i've seen a film where events like this led to mass killings so may i pre-emtivly suggest -

1) Dye your streaks cherry. Despite ur efforts to block out ur own face in the photo, i'm sure this would suit you. Then everyone will notice that you don't brook having a double and respect you for it.

2) She might be a lesbian trying to show her love. Try kissing her to prove it to everyone./ this might go wrong.

3)Find out where she lives and dye her hair cherry. etc etc.

joking aside i can see why this would be disconcerting - you probably feel like reminding people that you were first goddammit! all the time

Devilbod - perhaps you could make a cardboard/wood/DS stickytape version of a REALLYREALLY expensive mod - hope the guy sees it and either go's and blows all his cash on the real deal, or gets depressed cos now he cant afford to be th same as you.

At least it's a slice of ownback. Once he's copied you, remove the fake and you'll be different again!

This could work with emzay - try temp dyeing ur hair a diff colour but pretend its permanent - see if she goes to that!

lol, been looking at making a screen with some old bits and bobs, and changing the dials.
I think what annoyed me was it was all brand new, mine I did over 2 years, like a little project, to make the bike unmistakably mine.
His bike was new and it was obvious that he'd got it all done when he bought it or straight after, rather than taking the care and time to find out this for himself (the whole reason for modding something).

No offence Devilbod, but pretty much half the Bandits* round here have twin lights and bellypans, and Micron aren't exactly the most exclusive exhaust manufacturer are they? If it was Erion Racing I'd see your point.

*It's a bit of a small photo, so if it's a Hornet or something else, apologies. The clocks look Bandit-esque, though. Edit: just read your page, I thought the seat didn't look right for a Bandit.

Emz, u should ask her if she's trying to be like you, if she says yes, tell her that u're flattered, but u'd rather she didnt have exactly the same hair as you, clothes is fine, cos a lot of people have the same clothes, but not zactly the same hair dos.

I used to get complimented on my pink hair when i was out too... but now it's purple and it's not as much of a "OH MY GOD ODD HAIR!" thing anymore... might go back to pink i think... hehe
