Lego: how do they make it SO well?

Always been a fan of Lego since I was very young and still occasionally buy it for myself today (space restrictions!). Hoping my son adopts the addiction too. We bought the Lego storage boxes for his room (http://www.firebox.com/product/2866/...ricks?aff=1108). My wife imported the http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=10030-1 from the US to give to me as a wedding present. Was I chuffed? You bet! Am I a manchild? Proudly, yes.

That imperial Star Destroyer is a pretty amazing set. Is it just prebuilt or does it have instructions?

Has a rather hefty instruction booklet and consists of over 3000 pieces (so says the marketing but I never counted). I've got it in storage back in Australia in the hopes that when I return I have a suitably large house where I can put it on display. My main regret is not buying the even more ridiculous Millennium Falcon at over 5000 pieces. I was trying to be sensible...how foolish of me.

That's the Star Destroyer I have, it's awesome.

There is also a version of the Death Star that I'd like, not the one with all the mini figs though.

It was about £550 odd when first released. I'll just go off and cry now.

We used to have all our lego (a not insubstantial amount either) sorted into thos little cabinets you find in proper hardware stores - the ones with all the odd screws, nuts & bolts in It was ace - you could get an instruction leaflet, and build the thing easily without having to search for the individual pieces Need to do it again before the spawn gets into it

I should post a photo some time. I also need to do a lot more sorting out, still got two large plastic boxes of mixed parts to separate out.
