    Ahh the good old VT awards special episode.

    Bit of history to that, I was never aired or meant to be aired.

    Back when ITV was made up of regional companies that also produced the shows (unlike now where most stuff is produced by separate production companies)
    I'm not sure which regional company VT department started it, by making a funny xmass tape, but it spread and then the different VT departments got together and had an informal competition and award ceremony every year.

    I've seen some of the tape (my dad worked at both themes and LWT) and they are great.
    there's a lovely one from ITN where they cut together bland news footage of Roy Hattersley with an SLR camera doing amerteur photographer stuff and the duran duran girls on film video.
