    You're right; it's uncomfortable.
(Sorry; I usually ignore stuff like that but I couldn't resist).

I'm on a boat today going up the Thames to Oxford whilst drinking all day. Probably not the best combination...

    Re: Happy Monday Morning

I was on the phone to my son in Aus. You can imagine his reaction....32 ? That's not hot. 40+ is hot !

I pointed out that he was in shorts and T shirt, not a charcoal suit. He might change his mind then.

    Re: Happy Monday Morning

Happy Monday evening! I'm in the airport lounge waiting to leave wintry Auckland. It's been 15-20*C with the odd rain shower. They get proper rain here, none of that overcast with drizzle nonsense. It can be sunny one minute, have a torrential downpour the next, and then be sunny again within ten minutes.

Sounds like I'll need to turn my air conditioner on when I get home...

There used to be an advert in Aus for the PS2 I think.

Not very happy for me - 1 of our warehouse guys is on holiday so I've been roped into helping unload 2 40foot containers worth of stock. When I'm not stood inside the container (which is like an oven inside), I'll be running backwards and forwards into the warehouse, under the blazing sun

A couple of years ago I was painting a shed with one of those garden fence sprayers. I was wearing thick overalls and had sheets wrapped around my head to keep the spray off. Unfortunately, it was midday on a scorching Summer day and walking 400 yards back to base dressed like that, carrying 20kg of gear, almost knocked me out. I was streaming sweat, guzzling pints of water and started feeling very drowsy. Later in the evening my muscles were aching like I'd had a bad fever. You don't notice how bad you are when you're concentrating on getting the job done. It's only when you start winding down that you realise things are spinning and you're pretty much asleep with your eyes open.

I've since made a point to regularly drink plenty of water when I'm doing labour and getting a little warm, even if I'm not thirsty.
