*shrug* I guess I just walk away from this and hope none of your ever get a lifechanging illness. After all; you wouldn't want my sympathy, would you?

I've a question for those of you that may or may not be wishing illness and/or sympathy upon Jobs ....
What would you like him to die of ? I presume you don't want him to live for ever, so what's it going to be ?
It sounds to me that as first world billionaires go he's had a pretty rough deal with his health. Not just cancer but a liver transplant and probably other issues. But sorry folks, life can be like that. Not everyone gets everything their own way all the time. Just because he's rich and famous doesn't mean he deserves a better hand than you, me, or say my mother in law (breast cancer, aged 56, saw 1 of her 8 grandchildren) or my mother (lung cancer, aged 66, saw 2 of her 4 grandchildren).

I said I'd bow out, and I apologise for going back on my word.
My point is that Mr Jobs is no less important than anyone else, and the way I read your post (which I was *not* wilfully misinterpreting, thanks very much. You must at least acknowledge that a fair amount of your posts seem to be designed to offend, one can hardly grumble if one that wasn't intended to do so has that effect. And I know you're not Madduck either, but addressing his post at the same time) seemed to suggest to me that Steve Jobs should be low on the list for sympathy. I'd argue that he's as deserving as your Gran, the old man down the street, the kid in the Horn of Africa etc etc. No more deserving, nor any less.
And on that note I promise I'll leave this thread alone.
